51 MONTHS

A quarter of the year is officially gone and I have almost come to a halt when it involves visiting the lfs. This post is a day late.

Aquarium 3 (3 x 1.5 x 1.5 feet and sump - 250 litres)
My aquarium is almost fully stocked and I don't have room for more stuff, much as I want to. I am not in a hurry to replace my lost hammer coral etc and prefer to look out for something good. I suspect that my other gsp is dead since no polyps have appeared since 2 weeks ago.

Since losing my beautiful Flame Angel, I managed to introduce a pair of them on 16 Mar 17 into the aquarium. As they were introduced at the same time, there was minimal aggression when the slightly bigger one went after the smaller fella but it managed to either fight back or swam away. They have also started to eat pellet food.

The green bubble algae was so irritating so I cleared most of it.

I rotated this Pocci around, hopefully the bare corner will grow back

the only new Acropora bought in March

the brown polyps Stylophora turned green when I moved it towards the Hydra 52 HD

some parts of this Pocci are dead

the unknown red algae is growing slowly

    the Sympodium recovered too

I am curious to see what colour develops from this Acropora

    46 MONTHS

Some of the fishes are getting bigger and more aggressive and I need to find ways to net them out so that I can reduce the bioload and add new fishes following that. It is true that it is easy to add new introductions but it is difficult to remove them thereafter.

    Aquarium 1 (1 feet cube - 27 litres)
The juvenile Blue-Lipped Angel didn't make it, which was not unexpected with its reputation of being not easy to keep. Out of the three juvenile Clown Fish, one mysteriously disappeared and I couldn't find its body. It was the outcast which were often chased away by the other two.

I also gave away 3 fishes - the pair of damsels and the Golden Maroon Clown, to Ah Heng from AquaMarin on 18 Oct 16. My plan was to eventually consolidate everything in a single aquarium. At this moment, that is my plan but whether it will happen remains to be seen.

I saw a bobbit worm hiding in the big rock and I have to find a way to remove it someday. My sea urchin also started to shed all its spines after I changed the water 2 days ago and I am really worried about it. I transferred it to aquarium 3 in case it is starving.

    The livestock are:
    • Fishes
      • 2 common Clown Fishes
      • Royal Gramma
    • Invertebrates
      • Turbo Snails

The technical information is as follows:
    • Atman HF-0600 HOB Filter
    • Maxspect Razor Nano 60W (10,000K)
    • Tunze Nano Osmolator
    • AOL 60 litres chiller

    Aquarium 3 (3 x 1.5 x 1.5 feet and sump - 250 litres)
I recently found that the Maxspect Gyre wasn't rotating and took it out for a wash. After assembling it, it still didn't work. Right now, I don't think it is worth the money to buy any more of this and will likely still to the conventional wavemaker.
