46 MONTHS

Some of the fishes are getting bigger and more aggressive and I need to find ways to net them out so that I can reduce the bioload and add new fishes following that. It is true that it is easy to add new introductions but it is difficult to remove them thereafter.

Aquarium 1 (1 feet cube - 27 litres)
The juvenile Blue-Lipped Angel didn't make it, which was not unexpected with its reputation of being not easy to keep. Out of the three juvenile Clown Fish, one mysteriously disappeared and I couldn't find its body. It was the outcast which were often chased away by the other two.

I also gave away 3 fishes - the pair of damsels and the Golden Maroon Clown, to Ah Heng from AquaMarin on 18 Oct 16. My plan was to eventually consolidate everything in a single aquarium. At this moment, that is my plan but whether it will happen remains to be seen.

I saw a bobbit worm hiding in the big rock and I have to find a way to remove it someday. My sea urchin also started to shed all its spines after I changed the water 2 days ago and I am really worried about it. I transferred it to aquarium 3 in case it is starving.

The livestock are:
  • Fishes
    • 2 common Clown Fishes

Aquarium 3 (3 x 1.5 x 1.5 feet and sump - 250 litres)
I recently found that the Maxspect Gyre wasn't rotating and took it out for a wash. After assembling it, it still didn't work. Right now, I don't think it is worth the money to buy any more of this and will likely still to the conventional wavemaker.

    38 MONTHS

It's 2 months into the new year but nothing much happened this month because I was still kind of caught up with other stuff.

    Aquarium 1  (1 ft cube - 27 litres)
I haven't managed to get the chiller for this aquarium, so it is status-quo for this aquarium and I won't post any photos.

    The livestock are:
    • Fishes
      • False Percula Clownfish
      • 2 Fire Gobies
    • Invertebrates
      • Turbo Snails
      • Cleaner Skunk Shrimp
    • Corals
      • LPS
        • 2 Supersun Corals
    • Macroalgae
        • green Algae
        • Chaetomorpha algae
The technical information is as follows:
      • Atman HF-0600 HOB Filter
      • Maxspect Razor Nano 60W (10,000K)
      • Tunze Nano Osmolator

      Aquarium 3 (3 x 1.5 x 1.5 feet and sump - 250 litres)
This month, I lost the Yellow Tang, one of my favourite solid colour fishes which added a beautiful yellow to the other bluish aquarium. I will not be replacing it for the time being because of the existing Purple Tang. The Rose Bud Tip Anemone is a threat to the other fishes now and measures about 8-10 cm across.

Something happened to the doser, which I was totally clueless for a while, until I realized the water level in the dosing container didn't drop. Well, I managed to get it back up but the kH level has dropped really low. I measured it on 28 Feb 16 and it read 5.5, so I need to raise it to at least 8.

The monthly updated list of livestock is as follows:
      • Fishes
        • Purple Tang
        • 2 Blue-yellow Damsels
